This is a hands on workshop designed to rapidly introduce you to web site development. A full tour of Dreamweaver will be presented with numerous exercises to help you learn how to quickly develop and deploy professional quality web pages.

This workshop is an introductory course and will acquaint you with www essentials before going live with your web site. You will learn core www terminology and everything you need to know in order to successfully build your first web site using Macromedia Dreamweaver.

Prerequisites: Basic word processing skills and experience using an Internet browser.

Topics Include:

  • Understanding the Dreamweaver interface
  • Effective web site design including:
    • Inserting and formatting text and graphics
    • Using color pickers to color text, links, backgrounds, and more
    • Hyperlinks
    • Load speed
  • Inserting, modifying, and formatting tables
  • Templates and cascading style sheets
  • Basic overview of Forms
  • Selecting a web host and understanding domain name fundamentals
  • Deploying your web site
